HI! I’m Ashley…

After years of casually helping friends and family with various residential and commercial design projects (and against the advice of anyone who has ever personally lived through a home remodel), I jumped headfirst into a two-year, full-scale home renovation of my own and fell madly in love with the entire process.

Shortly before breaking ground, one of my young sons was diagnosed as neurodivergent and I began researching ways in which I could ensure a sensory-friendly environment in our new home. I researched the concepts of neuroinclusive design, wellness design, and biophilic design; the practice of incorporating natural elements into built environments to facilitate the beneficial connection between people and nature. What I noticed very quickly is that I had already in many ways been designing with an unintentional focus on wellness for years. I prefer the warm glow of natural light, I love a beautiful houseplant (though personally being able to keep one alive is another story), and I heavily favor natural materials such as linen, wool, wood, and stone in my designs. I have always believed that a home should feel like a hug, bringing calm and comfort to those that live there. After all, the outside world is chaotic enough; your home should be your reprieve.

It is with that guiding principle that I create all of my spaces, ensuring that a home doesn’t just look beautiful, but brings genuine peace and joy to those who live there.
